Happy Food Day
It sure would suck to be a turkey the past few days (and a couple days that have not yet come).

Are people REALLY that STUPID? Unless people who are living off the beaten path or need a large vehicle for whatever reason are now jumping on some amazing deals still lingering from car makers to stimulate sales in a rough economy with rising oil prices, we have a very short memory. Where were all those sales not even a month ago? Nonexistent because gas was too expensive. Where will they be in several months when gas starts breaking records again? People looking to jump into a huge hulk for their transportation needs are going to be slapped in the face. And they just won’t understand why or how. Who wants to start a commune in the woods?
On the bright side, I saw Umphree’s McGee Friday night and they were awesome. I can still feel the energy coursing through my veins. Crammed into a taxi with 6 people on the way down and caught the bus on the way back.
Where do America’s Happiest People Work?
Happy people are good, but look at the happiest profession: clergy. And look at what percent of clergypeople are very happy: 67.2%. The best we can do is a hair over 2/3?? Pathetic. If you don’t like what you do, do something else.
That is easier said than done, but if the happiest profession still makes 32.8% of the people in that profession unhappy, something is wrong.
But we can’t do it any more.
So, why not build a shelf?
And that is exactly what I did.

The raw materials.

Almost there for the angle.

I know it looks a little crooked, but it isn’t.

Finished!

And with stuff. (note the huge pieces of building holding the desk in place)
I will potentially have my 24 hour access taken away (as specified in the memo sent out earlier this year) and the campus police called (as evidenced by someone filing a police report against a student who had not taken down his table two days after the memo was sent out).
But really, it’s not a table…
